Car radio
A car radio is the built-in receiver in a vehicle. Newer ones include DAB+, older ones are often FM only.
The car radio is the receiver built into the dashboard. In newer cars it includes DAB+, and dabplus.ch says new cars carry it. In older cars it is often FM only.
TCS counted in November 2024 about 1.8 million passenger cars without DAB+, which it put at 38 percent. For those, there are three common answers: an adapter on the AUX input, a new radio fitted by a garage, or playing radio from a smartphone over Bluetooth or USB.
To find out what your car has, check for DAB+ on the display or in the manual. The car guide lists the options in detail.
