Ensemble
An ensemble is the group of programmes carried together in one DAB+ multiplex, as shown on a radio.
Ensemble is the word radios and broadcasters use for the group of stations that travel together in one multiplex. Some radios show the ensemble name in a menu, often next to the station list or in the signal information.
The word matters most when something goes wrong. If every station of one ensemble disappears at once, the reception problem is with that ensemble’s signal, not with the individual programmes. If only one station drops out, the cause usually lies elsewhere.
