Slideshow
A slideshow is a series of small pictures that some DAB+ stations send alongside the sound, shown on radios with a colour display.
Some DAB+ stations send pictures along with the audio. The pictures arrive as a slideshow: a series of images, such as a cover or a logo, that appear on radios with a colour screen.
It is an optional extra. Radios with a simple text display ignore it, and the programme sounds the same. The broadcaster decides whether to send pictures at all and how often they change.
If a friend’s radio shows covers and yours shows only text, the difference is usually the display, not the signal. The slideshow belongs to the same family as DLS, which carries text.
